The cute yellow sponge celebrates its birthday and Opinion Leader supports it with a series of press office activities…. super Wow!!

July – Opinion Leader has been the communication agency for Paramount’s kids channels (Nickelodeon andSuper!)  for many years and, just like one of the “family”, Opinion Leader certainly couldn’t miss the most awaited event of the summer: the 25th anniversary of SpongeBob, the yellow sponge loved by everyone.

A jump into the past…

In Italy since 2017 SpongeBob has been “living” in a small room at the Genoa Aquarium with dedicated areas created thanks to the support of Opinion Leader. Over the years, the Digital PR team invited many families, including journalists, VIPs and influencers, who with their children enjoyed a unique experience: sleeping a night at the aquarium in the dolphin tank, in a special room completely set up with the colors and products of the funny yellow sponge.

A party lasts all summer.

The celebrations for this important birthday officially started with the 2024 edition of Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards, aired in Italy on Friday July 19^th  on Nickelodeon and on July 20^th on Super! This KCA edition was exceptionally hosted by SpongeBob and its inseparable friend, Patrick. Afterwards there was a dedicated party at Mirabilandia Park and video clips with Bebe Vio filmed in her Academy and aired on Super!

A sea full of emotions and successes.

The news regarding SpongeBob are not over. New episodes, dedicated marathons and many surprises will continue to arrive on Nickelodeon throughout the summer and until the end of the year. Opinion Leader is always at the forefront to promote all these activities by generating press coverage with dedicated articles such as the one published on Tuesday July 30th – the International Friendship Day – on Corriere della Sera and the extensive reportage broadcasted during 1pm edition of TG1 and dedicated to the legendary yellow sponge.
